I was always a fan of the art of photography and have practiced it as a hobby for many years; it was even my work for a while when I was a photojournalist during the civil war in Lebanon.

Since leaving Lebanon to pursue my career in Corporate Communications, I have kept my photography gear updated (in the most affordable way for a hobby) and used it just for the sake of sharing my stories.

I am currently a retained Story Teller with a special focus on Corporate Communications and Media Training supported by years of experience in the Middle East as an ex-journalist, publisher and ex-photo-journalist – photography is still my passion, albeit it one I now practice in my spare time.

Photography and storytelling go hand in hand and photos help to convey a sense of emotion, a mood, an idea or even atmosphere. They capture a moment in time; they are an illustration of a narrative experienced by oneself or by someone else. It is my hope that this website will take you on a journey with me and show you my story with some of the interactions I have had over the years with a myriad of interesting people in the many fascinating countries I have either lived in or visited.

Photography is not a competition, it’s the art of having the right eye, at the right moment with the right tool, and most of all the love of sharing your story.

I have been to many places, many cities and countries and still have many more to visit; my website will show you the places I lived and will tell stories of places, people, experiences and adventures.

And sport, sport has always been a top interest of mine, especially water sports. I practiced some and mastered none, but I was fortunate to spend time with some of the region’s top surfers and kite surfers and Theshutterlife.com will showcase some of exclusive, and exciting, surfing and kite surfing photos from Lebanon, UAE, Qatar and Oman.

I hope you enjoy browsing and please feel free to leave a message, comment or give a recommendation.
